Amel R. Massa has been a matrimonial and family law attorney in Nassau and Suffolk Counties for over twenty-five years.
Mr. Massa served by appointment as an Officer of the Suffolk County Academy of Law for four years. He has lectured on several occasions on various topics regarding matrimonial law at the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York Family Law American Inn of Court. He served by appointment for five years as a facilitator for the parenting education program known as P.E.A.C.E. He served by appointment for seven years as an Arbitrator for the District Court of Suffolk County, having been deemed qualified by a panel of Judges. He served for two years by appointment on the Nassau County Court Mediation Panel and Early Neutral Evaluation Panel. He currently serves as a Court Mediator for the Suffolk County Supreme Court.
Although Mr. Massa has years of large-firm experience, he has been a sole practitioner for the last seven years, with a strong concentration in the areas of Divorce Mediation and Collaborative Divorce. Mr. Massa’s current clients find that his lengthy experience as a litigator enhances his ability to mediate or collaborate a case to a successful and durable conclusion by recognizing potential future problem areas as the parties formulate their agreement.
